Venturing out deep, (check out the cruise ship in the Gulfstream), was worth the trip.  The fish box was loaded with groupers, giant Mutton Snappers, King Fish that squeeled out line, and Mangrove Snappers too.  Awesome catch!

The Reading Boys catch BIG on the Big Dawg.  The AJ’s weighed in over 40 lbs. and the Yellow Jack and Mutton Snappers made for great dining!

The 2010-2011 season has started off with lots of awesome catches!  Aboard the Big Dawg, anglers have gotten their hooks into Cobia in the Gulf, Mangrove Snappers and Yellowtail at the reef, Queen Snapper (delicious) in 400 + feet, and assorted groupers all over!   Check out theses species at Catch of the Week or Wow Catches (on the home page).  Captain Mike’s calendar is filling up quickly, so book soon if you want to see you and your catch highlighted on the WOW Catches photos!  Tight lines!!!

A Fine Day for the Finemans

Father and son team and first time saltwater anglers, Mike and Jared Fineman from PA, fished oceanside on the Big Dawg and caught on quickly.  The grouper bite was on and the amberjacks topped off the day!

Brian Hassel and his new bride, Kristen, started off their Keys honeymoon hooked up on fish.  Their catch included groupers galore, snapper, and Kristen’s favorite, a shark!  Congratulations on the catch and the marriage!

Mary Byers and Peter Merkel caught this 35 lb. Wahoo on 15 lb. test.  The fished tried to spool them, but captain Mike chased it down while Peter reeled it it.  Mary had a hot hand reeling in keeper grouper and snappers.
