Bait
Live bait is a Big Dawg specialty—in the morning we catch our bait (Pilchards, Threadfin, Herring, Ballyhoo, Blue Runners, Pinfish, crabs and shrimp)— from the same flats that we pole for tarpon, permit and bonefish. This practice insures the freshest presentation to the fish.
Captain Mike Biffel: “There are many times when the fish aren’t attracted to plugs or flies. So we bring plenty of fresh, live bait caught from the very same flats where we’re fishing.”
No half-dead bait here!!
