Best November Fishing Ever!

A tremendous amount of Dolphin have been caught these past few weeks, much to the delight of Big Dawg anglers.  Some awesome Bull Dolphin along with colorful gaffers are filling the boat and coolers.

Besides the abundance of Dolphin offshore, Mangrove Snappers, Mutton Snappers and Groupers have taking the bait.  We’ve also had several days of catching our limit of LARGE Yellowtails by flat lining for them with pilchards and shrimp.  Some tuna were caught out along the weed lines offshore and the cobia have been all over the pinfish and cut bait!

Ready for the 2011-2012 Season?!?!

It’s time to wet those lines and jack some jaw.  Captain Mike is eager to start his fishing season in the fabulous Florida Keys on the Big Dawg.  Live bait is plentiful and conditions are great!  What do you want to catch this year?

Captain Mike is back in town!

The fall 2010-2011 spring season has started off with a big BITE on the BIG DAWG.  Powered up with new twin 300 Yamaha’s and lots of new reels & equipment,  Captain Mike was anxious to wet his lines.  Not to be disappointed, on the first day on the water in a few months, Mike and his crew loaded the boat with mutton snapper, grouper and Flag Yellowtail.  No exaggerating, 7 pound, 28″ inch yellowtail were brought in!  Live bait, jigs and plugs were used to pull in these beauties.

After a few days on fishing patch reefs and doing some deep dropping, Mike took a trial run out to the Gulf.  After a full day, the boat came in with it’s limit of Cobia (they’re here!!).

Big Dawg News

The 2010-2011 season has started off with lots of awesome catches!  Aboard the Big Dawg, anglers have gotten their hooks into Cobia in the Gulf, Mangrove Snappers and Yellowtail at the reef, Queen Snapper (delicious) in 400 + feet, and assorted groupers all over!   Check out theses species at Catch of the Week or Wow Catches (on the home page).  Captain Mike’s calendar is filling up quickly, so book soon if you want to see you and your catch highlighted on the WOW Catches photos!  Tight lines!!!
